The fourth of July weekend starts tomorrow and I'm sure you're very excited to have some time off from work to relax and hang out with family and friends!

It's these "mini-vacations" that puts these big cheesey grins on our faces after working hard all week long. You sure deserve a good couple of days off..

Whether you're doing a cook out, or just watching the fireworks from home, remember what those lights in the sky are standing for: Our freedom. Without it, we wouldn't get to make the choices in our lives the same way. We might not get to live in a place we live in today, or choose what job we want.. That's no way to live.

So take advantage of your independence and know that we have the freedom and free-will to make our lives go in whatever direction we choose. It's never too late for you!!

Remember that when you go back to work after the holiday weekend and ask yourself if you're living up to your free choices. Don't ever settle for something if it doesn't give you a sense of happiness and liberty from stress. If you find that you could use a change know that things won't change unless you do something different! That can mean some new beginnings with risk involved and a rewarding aftermath. It's not easy to make change happen but it's not any easier if it doesn't get done. And if you find out you're content right where you are, all the better!

I'm bummed out today...

You know, I got to thinking about life.. especially for those who are broke. They live paycheck to paycheck, worry about paying four dollars a gallon for gasoline, and work overtime to make a little extra money in the bank, and THEN go and enjoy life. That's how it goes, too. Work work work, punch out and then go live life a little. It just seems too backwards to me. I know nobody actually WANTS to live life that way. I know I don't.

And I won't. That is why I invest my time into this business, because not only is it keeping me away from that life I don't want to have to live, but it helps others do the same thing.

I really feel for those who are less fortunate, and happy that a system is in place to help. Not only is it booming but it's booming big. It's going to change the way people think about "making a living". Today, that means so much more than "settling" for a boring job for 8-10 hours a day for the next 30 years so THEN you can retire... and live!

Stressing about making your mortgage payments, how you're going to buy food next week.. all these stressors in our lives that weigh us down take away from who we are inside and causes us to be this person we don't like.

Not saying that money is the answer to changing who we are, but more like changing how happy we are.

I believe that if you decide to go into business for yourself it would be something that you would really like to do in an industry that you truly enjoy.

You can search thousands of different businesses out there, and they are all going to either sell you a product or service.

Now, honestly, the reason why people get into a home based business is NOT because of the product, but more for the business opportunity to earn more money. But I will tell you, that the product is also very important... here's why.

Ask yourself if you'd actually use the product, whether you are buying into the business or not. This is a good indicator of how it would pertain to others as well.

Make sure that there is a good history about the product's success. The longer it's been around, the better. You need knowledge of how others are happy with this product. All the people selling it to you will say how great it is because they want you to buy, but it's a different story to talk to people who've used it several times on their own. Ask them for a list of people who are using it and what their opinions are on it.

Is the product restricted against certain people using it? For example, selling make up will attract 99% of women, so men aren't big buyers. A good product will appeal to just about everybody.

Is it a good buy? I'm talking price. Are you getting your money's worth on the product? This is a biggie!

And finally, is it an industry that's enjoyable? How many people use it? Do your research good!

ARE YOU CONTEMPLATING WORKING YOUR WAY UP VS. WORKING FOR YOURSELF?

Those of you who have a degree might be contemplating this especially. After all, what did you go through all those college years for? Why invest all that money, time, and effort if you could just go own your own business without that little piece of paper?

It all comes down to this very simple explanation: your happiness.

I've seen many people with doctorate degrees do a complete 180 in their career by wanting to work for themselves and taking this on instead. Why? They were simply not happy working on call and the long hours.

I can relate, I have a bachelor's degree and was so certain I was going to use it to work my way up the corporate ladder. And I can. But I know I wouldn't like the lack of freedom in my life.

4. Plan your day that's most productive to you

If you like to get things done a certain way and be in control of your own schedule, this works like magic. How great it is to fit in when you want to work, and where you want to take that lap top (off to the beach, anyone?). Sleep in until when you want, get the errands done that you need to, etc.
For me, I like to have to time for the gym. It's important to me. With my own schedule I know I will have time and energy for it, unlike working the 9-5 and then if I feel up for it I'll go. I also love to cook, but rarely ever got the chance to have time and enjoy it when I was working a 40-50 hour work week (It's Mac 'n cheese again, honey).
Not only is it great just making time for your favorite things, but your work is more productive. When you work in a typical workplace environment, there are many distractions that go on all around you. People going in and out, gossiping.. I never had patience for that. When you make time to work, you mentally prepare yourself for it and focus.

3. No more commuting!

I haven't met one person who likes to commute to work. Whether it's just a twenty minute round trip route or two hours, wouldn't you think of many other things you could do with that time? Right now, with gas prices climbing, people are cutting way back on their driving. People are staying closer to home, and only making longer trips to places if they need to. Working at home surely makes your gas bill drop when you no longer have to drive to work 5 days a week. Avoid that rush hour!

2. Your own work space is.. all yours

I like to kick back with my legs up, turn up the radio, and sip my green tea while I work. It makes me happy and comfortable, which in turn makes me more productive. If my dog needs to potty outside, I can take her out. It's my place, my office, and my decision to what what I want, when I want. Everybody wants to make more money. Many times when people join an online company they do so in hopes of making money fast because the product "sounds good". Then, think of the things you want in life, like a new boat, that BMW you've always dreamed of, moving to Hawaii. This might sound cheesey to you, but not only does it work for me, but every other successful person I know out there has one. Some have pictures on their fridge and around their work area. If you've never been in an internet business before, you're probably asking yourself this question right now.
